DIRECT STUDENT LOAN

I currently have 4 student loans out. One in a small loan I plan on taking care of myself. One is Sallie Mae. One is a Federal loan and one is a Direct Loan. I want to reconsolidate my loans and am wondering which company offers the lowest interest rate?

Ok I have the federal direct sub loan and other things like the pell grant etc.
But I still have to cough up 3,000 dollars and I was wondering what is the best company that gives students, student loans?

My mom had a stroke in 2007 and only make 15,000 dollars by getting her retirement money early in 2008. She has a student loan in default and I was just wondering if I could call the company so they won’t garnish my mom’s tax return. She will have no income this year so she really needs her tax return.

I had to get a guarantor for my student loan because I was not a US citizen when I came for graduate school in 1999. I am now a permanent resident, my loan is in good standing, and I no longer need a guarantor. But they won’t let me discharge my guarantor because the loan was taken in 1999. They say that only loans taken in 2000 and after can have the guarantor discharged. Is that possible? It is so arbitrary.
