Recieved Notification Of Student Loan But No Mention Of Maintenance Loan – Does This Come Seperate? Uk Not Usa
Im worried!!
I applied for full student loan for fees and maintainence. I did the online application and i think i remember it saying that you are automatically assessed for the maintainence grant which is non repayable. I have just received the letter today saying i am getting the full loan for fees and maintainece but there is not mention of the grant.
Does this come seperate? I have been on hold with student finance direct for the last 30 minutes then cut off at 8pm as they are closed. Thats no biggy i’ll call tomorrow but does anyone know about the maintainance grant and when i will be informed about it?

Yeah, I think the grant notification is separate… But I recommend you KEEP CALLING. I had so much trouble with my loans due to a problem with my address – they will fob you off as much as they can, just keep calling back until you get your answer. Good luck and I wish you patience, you’ll need it.

I got a student loan and was told I had to apply on a seperate form for my Maintenance loan. COntact your LEA and they will advise you further

they should come together – i cant be sure online as i did mine via post – but i would defiantly give them a call to see if you have been granted a maintenance loan 2
