Can Someone Cash My Student Loan Check That They Stole?
I was on my direct loans account page and noticed that my address had changed, I hadn’t changed it. Someone has hacked into my account and changed the address where the loan check will be sent to his own address. I am worried that direct loans has already sent the check (it was supposed to come the 14th) and the person that stole it has cashed it already, or will. I have the address and phone number of the person who did this. What do I do? Can they cash my student loan check that they stole and that is payable to my name and is NOT endorsed by me?

First thing you will want to do is contact Direct Loans right away so they can place a stop payment on the check if they have issued it and it has not been cashed. If it has been cashed, work with Direct loans in regards to this and you MAY not be responsible for it, but call them ASAP!
